Join FERN (Forest Education and Research Network)
There is a new group forming that woodland owners as well as those with an interest in trees and woodlands should consider
joining. The Forest Education and Research Network (FERN)
was established to improve our understanding and management of both public forests and privately owned woodlands and is a joint effort of the University of Kentucky Department of Forestry, Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, the Forest Health Research and Education Center, and interested citizens. FERN members will have the opportunity to participate in a range of different activities, from helping in scientific research, to educational workshops, to testing new forestry tools. For more information click here or contact Dr. Ellen Crocker at e.crocker@uky.edu.
