Information and registration for the 2013 Kentucky Woodland Owners Short Course is available by clicking here. This program is a great opportunity for you and your family to learn how to enhance your woodlands with assistance from Kentucky forestry, wildlife, and natural resource organizations. The West Region program will be on August 10 in Owensboro, the East Region program will be in Vanceburg on August 17, and the Central Region program will be in Lexington on September 21. The 2013 Kentucky Wood Expo is just a few months away. UK Forestry has been working closely with the planning committee to put on a number of educational programs in addition to all the traditional offerings of the Kentucky Wood Expo which will take place on September 20 & 21 in Lexington, KY. University of Kentucky College of Agriculture gets a New Name
Starting July 1, the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, of which the Department of Forestry is a part, will be known as the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. The new name helps to clarify the wide diversity of programs, degrees, and offerings of the College. The Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service will remain a vital part of the College's Mission and Forestry Extension will continue our efforts to serve Kentucky's woodland owners, wood industry, and those that support and depend on Kentucky's forest resources.
