Kentucky Forestry Economic Impact Report Available
The University of Kentucky Departments of Forestry and Agricultural Economics developed the Kentucky Forestry Economic Impact Report to provide up-to-date statistics and information for Kentucky's forest and wood industries and associated forestland. The total economic impact of Kentucky's forest and wood industry in 2012 was estimated at $9.9 billion with $6.3 billion in direct revenue. Learn more at ukforestry.org

Northeastern Kentucky Timber Sales & Markets Program
Join us on May 14th in Morehead for an educational program for woodland owners to learn about selling timber and managing their woodlands and for loggers to learn about marketing options for their logs. Woodlands and Wildlife Field Day
Make plans to attend the Woodlands and Wildlife Field Day in Hopkins County on June 1. Sponsors include: UK Forestry Extension, Kentucky Division of Forestry, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Kentucky Tree Farm Committee, Kentucky SFI Implementation Committee, and the Hopkins, Caldwell, and Muhlenberg County Extension Offices. Kentucky Woodland Owners Short Course Taking Shape
The Central Region Kentucky Woodland Owners Short C ourse (WOSC) will be held in Lexington on September 21st and run concurrently with the Kentucky Wood Expo.
