Idea to Implementation: New Laser Process Capability for Structural Brand Development and Mold Manufacturing
The "Idea to Implementation" process has become a driving force in the strategic success and growth of R&D/Leverage. Our most recent example employs data derived from non-traditional, more disruptive research processes. We have found consumers have both conscious and unconscious connections with a product and its packaging.
While aspects such as package form and graphic design have a direct conscious effect on a consumer's choice, there is also a direct impact with the visual contrast and tactile feel of the package on the consumer's unconscious decision making mechanism. Investing in advanced manufacturing technologies such as Laser Ablation for texturing molds within the rigid packaging market is a great example of expanding the traditional boundaries of mold manufacturing, thus widening the design and creative windows in response to tactile consumer needs uncovered through consumer research.

Through the combination of innovative research, design, and advanced technologies, R&D/Leverage is driving to a complete holistic solution in packaging to meet not only the overt consumer desires, but also the hidden, unconscious, and unmet consumer needs.
