What's Happening at the Wellness Center

THE BUDDY-UP CHALLENGE BEGINS OCTOBER 6
The Wellness Center will be offering weekly challenges - with a partner twist! Each week, participants and their chosen "buddies" will work together on healthful lifestyle choices. Sign up at the front desk and receive a Buddy-Up T-shirt and a tracking packet to log challenges and tally points. Points can be earned by completing challenges throughout the program. Details for how to complete the weekly challenges will be in the packets and on the bulletin board at the Wellness Center.
- Week 1: Activity
- Week 2: Sleep
- Week 3: Fruits and Veggies
- Week 4: Stress
- Week 5: Altruism
- Week 6: Workouts
Prizes to be awarded for the highest total of points earned include Fit-Bit electronic activity trackers, free membership, massages and more!
Enter to Win FREE Registration for The Well Run Race, Chris Dove Memorial 5K
The 5K will be held on Saturday, November 9, in Warrenton. During October, we will have a drawing for four FREE race registrations. You can enter at the front desk of the Wellness Center.

October is time for the Member Satisfaction Survey. There are not many questions, so it will not take you long. Members can do it now at this link:

Members who complete and sign the member survey will be entered into a drawing for a Fit-Bit Fitness tracker worth $100. Hard copies can be picked up at the Wellness Center if you prefer.
If you prefer, you can pick up a paper copy at the Wellness Center front desk. Either way, please complete the survey by Monday, November 4.
Exercise in October and Win!
Members who exercise at least ten times in October receive a Wellness Center water bottle. Exceed fifteen times in October, and receive a gym bag in addition to the water bottle!
Members, please track your visits on your exercise card, the buddy up tracking form or a sheet of paper. Turn your tracking sheet into the front desk when you have exceeded 15 visits or by November 9 to be eligible for your prize. Staff will verify your visits.

Join us in the Bistro on Hospital Hill at 12 noon every Wednesday when Executive Chef Tony DeWalt will offer a cooking demonstration. He will create a dish with ingredients chosen earlier in the day from the Farmers Market.
