The Power Inn Alliance, a Property and Business Improvement District serving the largest industrial area in Northern California, recently named six companies or individuals to receive its Annual Award.

WM Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station accepts the Business of the Year award from Chairman Randy Sater

 

Waste Management received the Business of the Year Award for making a smooth transition after buying the Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station, and for numerous services to the community such as providing free porta-potties for the benefit of the 8-man Clean-Up Crew.

 

Best New Development was won by PG&E for the attractive landscaping surrounding their Customer Service Center at Fruitridge and Florin-Perkins Rd.

 

Best Environmental Practices Award went to Fischer Properties and Depot Park in recognition of their installation of a 3MW Solar Field. (read more)

 No Assessment Increase for Members in 2013

The Power Inn Alliance Board again voted not to increase the assessment rate for property owners in the Power Inn Property and Business Improvement District (PBID). This will be the third year in a row that assessments have remained at their 2010 level. "What other taxing authority has done that?" exclaimed Executive Director Jerry Vorpahl. (read more)

Labor Law Seminar Friday, April 5th 8:30am - 11:00am (includes light breakfast) with guest speaker David L. Cohen of Cohen Durrett, LLP.  This valuable seminar is the first of three.  Seminar One focuses on 2013 Federal and California Employment Law Updates.

Fee Schedule: $20 members, $25 non-members and $45 for all three sessions.

2013 Picnic at the Park Committee Seeks Volunteers - The Alliance encourages members and non-members alike to participate in the development of this year's Picnic at the Park.  Contact Jamie at 916-453-8888 or jamie@powerinn.org to be part of this successful event scheduled for Saturday, October 5th inside Depot Park!
