An early C-21A aircraft landed Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

The military version of the Learjet 35A business jet, the C-21 provided airlift for eight passengers and more than 3,000 pounds of cargo. It also could transport one litter patient or five ambulatory patients.

A flea compared to the huge, well-known C-141 and C-5 airlifters, the museum's new addition "gives us the opportunity to better interpret the diversity of the Air Force's airlift mission," retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Jack Hudson, museum director, said in a news release. The museum is a NAHA partner.
