Team Approach Gives Customers More Than...
Zappos Becomes Amazon, Turns to FASTSIGNS
It was no surprise that Zappos was going to become Amazon, since the internet shoe and apparel company had been purchased by the online giant earlier in the summer. However, the Zappos Fulfillment Center in Shepherdsville, KY wasn't sure of the extent of the changes or how the two companies would merge. As details became available, Amazon called on the existing Zappos relationship with FASTSIGNS Louisville to brand the Fulfillment Center, meshing the two cultures into one. "Work Hard. Have Fun. Make History" and "Think Big" were two of the themes that were introduced around the warehouses, along with the familiar Amazon logo. Amazon corporate facts were added to the Zappos History Wall, and the main lobby was re-branded with a new logo, among other graphics. All of this was completed in a short amount of time and within a specified budget. And it involved the entire FASTSIGNS team. Account Executive Judy Miller worked with Senior Graphic Designer Kyle Sheldon at Amazon and coordinated the effort, but every member of the FASTSIGNS Louisville team contributed.
Everyone worked together to make Sheldon's graphic creations became a reality, adding LED lights, dimension and other engineering specifics to ensure the integrity of the final fabrication. "Nothing seems too much for FASTSIGNS. I appreciate your ability to roll with the punches and your 'No problem, we'll make it happen' attitude. Thanks!," wrote Sheldon after the project was completed.

More Than The Usual Vinyl Solution:
Muhammad Ali Center and Trollbeads Like New Repositionable Product
Museums spend a lot of time prepping and repairing walls before and after exhibitions. That's because the headlines and information panels are usually applied directly to the walls with vinyl, often causing the walls to be patched and painted after the exhibitions.
So when FASTSIGNS Louisville introduced a new, repositionable product that adheres to the wall but is removable with no residue, Associate Curator Casey Harden, at the Muhammad Ali Center was interested. Harden used the new fabric product, called PhotoTex, for the panels accompanying the paintings in the recent exhibition "Americans Who Tell The Truth" and there was no wall damage. Trollbeads wrapped four columns in the Food Court at the Mall at St. Matthews with the repositionable product. Compared to last year, using a different vendor, costs were reduced by two-thirds. The specialty jeweler was able to use four-color artwork that showed its beads to their full advantage. Customers should consider this product for short term uses, or projects that will be moved from place to place periodically. Talk to your FASTSIGNS Louisville consultant to see if repositionable PhotoTex will work for you.

Concept to Reality: Kentucky One Health State Fair Booth
Kentucky One Health, a new statewide health care system, was a major sponsor of the Kentucky State Fair. Robert Hatfield of Breakout Creative designed a 30'x60' booth that would highlight the organization's leadership role in cardiovascular care.
The giant booth featured an inflatable heart, allowed for numerous health screenings and provided health information for the community.

Coordinated by Co-owner Sam Cilone and with the help of the entire team, FASTSIGNS Louisville engineered and fabricated the elements to satisfy the concept design in just over a week. Custom elements included:
- an 8'x90' photo mural printed on 1/2" gatorfoam and standing upright on spider feet
- 18 double-sided banners displaying the 18 hospitals in the Kentucky One Health network

- a custom-built 44'x22' aluminum truss, wrapped with logo banners and suspended 15 feet from the showroom floor

- custom-built 7' tall entry columns and header with graphics

- a customized 10' flex panel display to house a 32" flat screen monitor and serve as storage space
The exhibit was used for 10 days and allowed Kentucky One Health team members to provide 2500 cholesterol screenings and 4000 blood pressure screenings.
