The Blessed Hope
Our hearts have been moved by the "crisis at the border" between Mexico and the United States. A recent news article referred to "hope for a better life" as the motivation compelling so many to pour over the border. Additional research uncovers political factors as the impetus for this influx.
UIM does not take a political position, but we have been touched by the unfolding human tragedy and desire to bring word of "the blessed hope" of Jesus Christ to those the Lord brings our way.
Jesus said, " Let the children come unto Me." Even in His day children were seen as inconvenient interruptions or cause for political positioning (Matthew 2:16; Matthew 18:1-6; Mark 10:13-14; Luke 18:15-16). Since UIM's beginning in the Southwest U.S. and its expansion across the regions of North America where it now serves, we are realizing the fruit of the Gospel that was faithfully proclaimed to generations of children. It is evidenced by now mature, faithful, indigenous leaders, as in Paul's exhortation to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2. Connect with UIM International and with the Gospel reaching generations of indigenous people groups across North America. Proclaiming the blessed hope . . . In Christ Jesus,
Dan Fredericks, Executive Director UIM International "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works" (Titus 2:13-14).

Faithfully Proclaiming the Gospel
UIM missionaries Tim and Linda Woodring have served with UIM since 1997. They have an extensive outreach into several villages in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.
Tim and Linda work with Pastor Constantino Varas in his new church, Gracia & Armor. They also minister with Iglesia Cristiana Bautista Getsemani in their missions program. Through the mission program, they hold one or two medical clinics a month at different areas. Everyone who comes to a clinic hears about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Tim also has a ministry with young pastors and he has several Bible studies a week.

Their supporting church in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, graciously bought the land and buildings for two different churches. The first one is in Los Minerales and the other is in Tequila. God is working in these churches.

It is Tim and Linda's desire to see people come to know Christ and grow in Him so that they can share Christ with others and see many churches planted for the glory of God. "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also" (2 Timothy 2:2). |

Giving Hope to the Hopeless
There is presently a real human and humanitarian crisis in the very regions where UIM has been established to proclaim the Gospel. Thousands of primarily young Central American children and youth are fleeing their country through Mexico for the United States. UIM recognizes that our primary purpose and the purpose of the church is the faithful proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, calling sinners to acknowledge and trust in Christ Jesus as their Savior. In response to the present crisis, the Border Hope Initiative was initiated. It is a Gospel-driven response to this situation. We take no particular political position other than to recognize that particular governments are ill-prepared to meet the real need of true and lasting hope.
UIM will receive financial and material resources and will utilize them to meet various temporary and real physical needs. If you believe the Lord is leading you to give, send your contributions to UIM International, PO Box 6429, Glendale, AZ 85312. Pay to UIM International-designate with a note: Border Hope.
