More Value Than Airplanes

"You are of more value than many sparrows," our Lord said. "You are of more value than the birds" (Luke 12:2, 24).

It is an expensive proposition to fly airplanes. It is costly to maintain the airframe and power plant at the highest levels, going above and beyond the FAA minimum standards, but it is well worth the cost. It is worth the expense because people are of great value to the Lord.

The motto of UIM Aviation is "Flying to Change Lives" and "Taking the Gospel to Where the People Are!" UIM Aviation flight operations expend their resources with excellence because lives depend upon it.

Sure, it's expensive to keep the "birds" of mission aviation in the air, but we aren't about simply flying airplanes. We are about rescuing souls with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This UIM Connection! will bring you into the world of UIM Aviation. The real world of days when we ask the silly question, "How are we going to pay for this?" The real world of a missionary pilot family that give of themselves to reach people in need, meeting physical and spiritual needs. The real world of seeing lives changed by the transforming power of God's kindness and grace in Christ Jesus.

If you wish to see UIM Aviation in action, go to www.uimaviation.org and take a flight with us. You will be amazed by the flight and faith on display.

As you read this issue of UIM Connection!, please pray for safety, proficiency, and the Lord's provision for every need related to our aviation ministry. Please consider a generous gift, as the Lord may lead!

Grateful to be more valuable than birds . . .

In Christ Jesus,

Good Gifts from Above
Bryon Brock

Keeping a ministry going financially is a test of endurance and faith. Not long ago Aviation Field Director Bryon Brock, was contemplating aviation expenses and commented, "Why can't the Lord just send someone to us that could write a thousand-dollar check for this type of thing and we not have to touch any operations money for it?" The next day that actually happened! A man stopped by and gave Danielle Bahnsen, the aviation office administrator, a check for a thousand dollars!

Shortly after, aviation received a call from a supporter who wanted to donate a 1958 Cessna 182 that was in good condition and had been flying. After the first of the year the donation came through and the plane was recently sold. The money acquired will help provide for an engine overhaul due in September. The Lord provided in a miraculous way!

"If you then, who are evil give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!" Matthew 7:11 (NIV). We at UIM ask that you keep praying and we will too as we anticipate God's doing great things through us and the ministry of UIMA.

Welcome to UIM, Dodd Family!

UIM welcomes a new family to aviation. Brent and Hollie Dodd, along with their daughter, (Victoria) Brielle, will soon be serving the Lord in the Sierra Madre Mountains of northern Mexico. UIM Aviation is joining forces with Mexico Medical Mission Aviation and Pioneer Aviation. The Dodds will be an essential part of the ministry.  Brent's main responsibility will be assisting in medical evacuations for the Tarahumara people and also flying for like-minded missions.

Help Us Meet the Financial Needs of Mexican UIM Missionaries

The face of missions has gradually changed over the years. In the past missions involved Western missionaries leaving their homeland to go overseas. Today we see more and more Mexican people becoming missionaries and reaching their own people. In reality, these missionaries are far more effective, having grown up in the country they serve. Mexican missionaries we fly for have great potential to reach even farther into the mountains with the use of the airplane. Help us expand their reach by providing critical air support.

A donation of $300 covers one flight for these pastors. Would you consider funding a flight or part of a flight on a monthly or one time basis? At this point we see a need of 10 flights a month.

Will you or your church consider giving financially so that we might continue to provide the necessary flights for our Mexican missionaries that are so diligently working to share the Good News with the isolated peoples of Mexico?
