In 1960 my family drove Rt 66 from our new home in San Diego back to our old home, and that of all of our relations in Chicago.
My parents and the six of us kids packed into the Chevy station wagon and hit the open road--Route 66. We saw wondrous things we'd never even imagined. I think the traffic was lighter then! A special thank you to Pascal for these photographs.
Please send any photos taken along Route 66! |

I love to recall going to the Grand Canyon--it is a popular destination which has been developed over time but still retains its mystical and spectacular grandeur.
There are other places: the Saguaro Nat'l Park, Meteor Crater, and Oak Creek Canyon to name a few. Take the Apache Trail if you get the chance.
If you've never been to the state, it is well worth the trip. |
