Route 66 ran through the Panhandle of Texas from Shamrock in the east to
the ghost town of Glen Rio on the New Mexico border in the west. The midpoint of Route 66 is in Adrian Texas.  We're halfway there!  Los Angeles is 1139 miles west, and Chicago is 1139 miles east.
