California Consulting Secures over $300,000 for SJVAPCD Alternative Fuel Vehicle Program

California Consulting has successfully secured $321,291 from San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District Alternative Fuel Vehicle program. Our clients procure these funds to purchase Golf Carts and GEMS for their facilities.

Cosumnes Community Services District Receives $104,500 for California Department Parks and Recreation Habitat Conservation Fund


California Consulting is pleased to announce Cosumnes Community Services District received $104,500 for the California Department of Parks and Recreation Habitat Conservation Fund. This is a highly competitive grant with only 15 awarded last year. Congratulations to CCSD and Danielle Sotello, California Consulting 's Deputy Statewide Grants Manager, for writing the application.

California Consulting Helping Communities Across California with Free Grant Writing Workshops


California Consulting LLC has teamed up with local officials to offer free grant writing workshops. These workshops deliver first hand knowledge of federal, state, and nonprofit funding opportunities. Since the needs of each entity is different, a variety of topics from Proposition 1 to Cap and Trade grant funds and more are discussed. Each session is followed by a brief question and answer period. We are happy to offer this service for free to any of those who'd like to participate. 
US Department of Justice (USDOJ) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA): FY 2016 Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program

Deadline: April 27, 2016
Amount: $15,200,000 available in federal grant monies as follows:

*  4 awards estimated for extra-large agencies (1,000 + officers) - maximum request of $1,000,000 per agency
*  12 awards estimated for large agencies (251-999 officers) - maximum request of $600,000 per agency
*  16 awards estimated for mid-sized agencies (26-250 officers) - maximum request of $250,000 per agency
*  43 awards estimated for extra-small agencies (25 or fewer officers)

 - maximum requests of $40,000 per agency

Match: 50% of total project costs; may be either cash contributions or in-kind contributions of goods or services

City of Coachella


Coachella is a city in Riverside County, California; it is the easternmost city in the region collectively known as the Coachella Valley (or the Palm Springs area). It is located 28 miles east of Palm Springs, 72 miles east of Riverside, and 130 miles east of Los Angeles.

Known as the "City of Eternal Sunshine", Coachella is largely a rural and agricultural community in the desert and one of the state's fastest growing cities in the late 20th century.

 In 1946,when it was first incorporated, Coachella had 1,000 residents. Today the population exceeds 40,000.

The city also lends its name to the Coachella grapefruit; the town's stretch of State Route 111 is named Grapefruit Boulevard in its honor. Harrison Street or State Route 86 is declared historic U.S. Route 99, the major thoroughfare that connects with Interstate 10 a few miles north of town.
 
Team Member Spotlight: 
Danielle Sotelo 

Danielle Sotelo is California Consulting's Deputy Statewide Grants Manager. She is responsible for grant research, grant identification and grant writing. 

Danielle worked in Washington D.C. for the Guatamala Human Rights Commission. She has taught at San Joaquin Valley College and as worked for a U.S. Congressman. 

Danielle has 43 grants awarded totaling  $5,591,348.

Danielle earned her B.A. in International Relations, emphasis in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy from Pepperdine University.
