The Vancouver & District Dental Society and the BC Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry (BC AGD) are pleased to announce a joint "members-only" initiative for the 2014/15 season! All VDDS members will be able to attend one BC AGD lecture of their choice during the coming season for a $50.00 fee! BC AGD members in turn may attend a VDDS lecture of their choice for a $50.00 fee. We know this member "perk" will be of value to both organizations and allow some networking opportunities! Our Continuing Education in 2015 begins with a Dental Team Day on Friday, January 23 with Ms. Kristin Nickells in a morning presentation for the entire dental team: "Your Dental Practice: The Challenges of Being a Boss (or Having one!)" Jerome Marburg, Registrar and Dr. Chris Hacker, CDSBC will follow in their afternoon talk: "How to Avoid Complaints."On Monday, February 16, our CE will feature a VDDS Specialty Forum on "Oral Surgery," facilitated by Dr. John Rogers. VDDS will be at the Pacific Dental Conference in March, as well as on tour cruising Mexico! Our final CE session is on Friday, April 17, with Dr. Lou Graham and his talk on "Incorporating Clinical Advancements in Conservative Esthetic Dentistry." UBC Faculty of Dentistry Celebrate 50 Fabulous Years!
 Other important news in the dental community is the UBC Faculty of Dentistry's 50th Anniversary! Since January this year, many special events have taken place acknowledging departmental milestones since 1964.
