Featured Production Client: Location Manager Rob Dohan
Having been a Location Professional for over 28 years, Rob Dohan is currently working on the fourth season of the popular Fox Series Last Man on Earth.  He was kind enough to take a moment out of his busy schedule for a chat.

TLP:  How did you get into location management?
RD: A friend of mine was the Assistant Location Manager on the hit series Cagney and Lacey and brought me in. The rest is history.

TLP:  What do you love most about being a location manager?
RD: My favorite part of being a location manager is the interaction I have with all types of people - from a homeless man to a bank executive. I also like the diversity of locations I scout and learn about - from ice caves to prisons to NASA clean rooms. No day is the same.

TLP: What do you do when you're not working?
RD: When I'm not working I like to spend time with my family, and also travel, visiting different surf destinations.

TLP: What was your best and worst location day?
RD: My best day was working on a movie about a young boy who died of cancer. We were filming in Oregon on a beautiful lake with an amazingly beautiful white swan. The parents of the little boy visited the set and mentioned to me that the lake and the swan were exactly what the boy had written in his story before he passed away. My worst day as a location manager was having the Navy seize our key location two days before the shoot day. They needed it for emergency battleship repair.
