Help ensure our future: Your voice matters on May 22!
Wed., May 22 | Commission Chambers | 9:30 a.m.
Every seven years, we have an opportunity to adjust our County's Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) through a series of Evaluation & Appraisal Report-Based Amendments
(EAR).
On May 22, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will vote to adopt or discard the proposed amendments. The public will have an opportunity to speak on this issue. TAS recommends asking our Commissioners to adopt the following amendments for a sustainable Miami:
- Allocation of funds for public transportation
- Incorporation of climate change to our planning
- Increased protection of our watersheds and the Everglades
- Health as a major component of city planning
- Recognition of natural resources preservation as an economic, as well as environmental, issue
It is critical that you make your voice heard and express support for a more sustainable Miami! To formulate your comments, please read our letter from 2010. If you can't attend please email your Commissioner.
