Caltrans has set a goal to reduce emissions caused by its operations, including its fleet, by 20% during the decade ending in 2020, the state agency has announced. Caltrans is using telematics to reduce fuel use, which would play into the agency's emissions-reduction goal.

New York Times, April 23, 2015

Jeremy McCool is convinced there is a better way to charge electric vehicles in a crowded city than using a wired plug. Mr. McCool is founder and chief executive of Hevo Power, a Brooklyn-based start-up that is working to create a home for electric vehicles in an environment that is inherently challenging to them.

Test Driving LEAF Offers New Viewpoint On Electric Cars

HeraldNet, April 26, 2015

Fully electric cars have been in the public consciousness for a while now. I've never really thought about driving one, until I heard an ad for the LEAF on the radio. Oregon Wastewater Plant Creates Enough Power To Sustain Itself

The Oregonian, April 22, 2015

Gresham's wastewater plant on Northeast Sandy Boulevard has achieved national and worldwide attention because it's able to turn methane and carbon dioxide from sewage, fats, oils and grease into electricity and heat. "It's great for the bottom line, therefore, it's all the right shades of green," Mayor Shane Bemis said, adding the process could be replicated for many of the 15,000 plants across the country.
