Music this Sunday
Our music this Sunday will be ably provided by Cyndi Bliss, while Maggie is in Maine with her family.

Summer Hours are Ending
September 4 is the last day of our summer schedule.
On September 11, we will return to 8a.m. and 10a.m. in the main church. Our annual parish wide picnic will occur immediately after the 10a.m. service. Music for 9/11 will acknowledge the 15th anniversary of 9/11.

Father Above, make each of us a sanctuary for Christ in the world. Direct the works of our hands, the words from our lips, and the prayers that we pray.  Bless our Living Stones campaign that as we give out of our abundance to make improvements to your House, your Spirit will renew us as a community of praise and service, united to one another and to the world you love in your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

Prayer as First Resort

We will meet on Tuesday, September 13th 7:30-8:45 pm in the Blue and Cranberry Rooms for compline celebrating the feast of Holy Cross Day (on its eve).   If you would like to learn more about Prayer as First Resort, please contact Deb Dutton (debdutton@hotmail.com) or Lynne Grillo (lynne@odic.com).

Welcome Back Cookout
The Welcome back cookout will be held on Sunday, September 11th after the 10 AM service - rain or shine.

The Parish Life Committee will take care of providing and cooking hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers (plus all the fixings).  We'll provide chips and cold drinks too.

We would appreciate donations of salads, sides, and desserts.  Bringing a dish to share is not required but if you feel so moved, please bring something from one of the above three categories.

Please join us as we kick-off the church school year, reconnect with friends and family you may not have seen in a while and enjoy what's left of the beautiful summer weather.

Family Gratitude
The family of Harry Taplin gives thanks and gratitude for our All Saints' family whose love and support has contributed greatly to Harry's healing following his stroke one year ago.  As our community, you deeply show us God's unconditional love, the healing of Jesus Christ, and the powerful comfort of your caring presence.  We are truly blessed and so very grateful.

With our love, Lynne, Steve, and the whole family
Thrift Shop Reno Help Needed!
As with many projects, especially in older buildings, the Thrift Shop mini-renovation has turned into a maxi-renovation. Every time a wall is taken down, more "mysteries" are revealed. Frank Ouellette and Norm Douglas have worked tirelessly on this project, with an able assist from Matt Cole, who will be returning to college. All lower walls have been removed and an astounding amount of repointing the stone underneath is almost complete. In order to bring the electrical panel and other meters into compliance, we have to enclose them, and that is where the most recent area of rot has been revealed. If you have any time/interest/ability in hanging sheetrock, painting, or other construction abilities and have the time to donate, please speak to Frank, Norm, or Maggie Marshall. We are hoping to open on October 1. New carpeting is slated to be installed on 9/22, so the shop reno must be completed by then.

The New Program Year
is almost upon us and I would encourage all leaders and groups to submit space reservation requests for your meetings and events for 2016-2017. You may go to our web site at allsaintschelmsford.org and fill out a space reservation request that will automatically come to my email address.  Requests have already started coming in, so please don't assume that last year's time and space are available.  All requests should go through the church office.
Here's to another busy and successful year.
