Music this Sunday
This Sunday's music features a Bach Prelude in D minor, played by Bud Flumerfelt, and Valerie Cowart's singing a Spiritual arranged by Moses Hogan - Give me Jesus. Familiar hymns and a short Bach piece for the closing voluntary will round out the service.

AUGUST is a Mysterious Month
at All Saints' 9:30am Service....
The SUMMER MYSTERY CLUB starts this SUNDAY!

mystery club The Summer Mystery Club is a fun program for all kids at the 9:30am service- everyone is invited.
The kids join Brian and me to work with a Detective from ACME Detective agency to follow clues and solve a mystery. Each week we catch the kids up on what has happened before, so it is no problem if they can't be here for all 4 Sundays. The mystery club meets right before the start of the 9:30am service and runs during the normal church school time. We will be meeting August 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the Mystery Club- I can be reached by email at laura.marshall@comcast.net

Please RSVP with the names and ages of your children and the Sundays you think you might be there. Thank you!

Prayer as First Resort
will meet on Tuesday, August 9th from 7:30-8:45 PM in the Blue and Cranberry Rooms for compline.   If you would like to learn more about Prayer as First Resort, please contact Deb Dutton (debdutton@hotmail.com) or Lynne Grillo (lynne@odic.com).
Outdoor Service
Coming soon! Our annual outdoor service, ably led by musicians Matt Hickcox and Scott Bempkins, will be on August 21 at 9:30a.m.

Music at All Saints':
For decades, Thursday night has been music night at our church. Four rehearsals occur weekly between the hours of 6pm - 9:15pm. As I mentioned last week, there are plenty of singing opportunities available for those as young as first grade (or younger if able to read words) and all ages after that. This year, the HANDBELL CHOIR is also looking for a few new ringers. This dedicated group of volunteers, under the leadership of Debbie Psilopoulos, meets weekly from 6:30-7:30pm and plays regularly throughout the church season. The ability to read music is a plus, but not necessary. More important is a good sense of rhythm and the ability to count! It is also a good opportunity for a parent of someone in the B# choir since the rehearsal time overlaps with that group. Please speak to Debbie, me, or any other bell member if you are interested.
Maggie Marshall, Minister of Music

Father Above, make each of us a sanctuary for Christ in the world. Direct the works of our hands, the words from our lips, and the prayers that we pray.  Bless our Living Stones campaign that as we give out of our abundance to make improvements to your House, your Spirit will renew us as a community of praise and service, united to one another and to the world you love in your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

When: Sunday, August 21st, 2016
Where: ASC Gardens and Lawn
Time: After the 9:30 OUTDOOR Service
All Saints' Garden
What better way to celebrate Summer and worshiping in our lovely gardens than to follow it up with flavored lemonades, iced teas and treats?  Please join us, play a few lawn games, catch up with parishioners you maybe haven't seen in a while (yes - God is ever present at the beach, shore, along the rivers and in the mountains) and enjoy a cold beverage and snack.
