From Our Rector:

Last November, the Most Rev. Michael Curry became presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church,. Last week PBS Newshour's Judy Woodruff talked to Bishop Curry about his vision for our Church.

This is an excellent and short, introduction to our dynamic Presiding Bishop--I hope you'll check it out to catch his vision of what it means for the church to live into  "the Jesus Movement".

Musical Notes Music Staff
Music for this Sunday will be provided by Cyndi and Mary Bliss and the Parish Choir. We are in the season of Ordinary Time - the season after Pentecost and up to Advent 1. Programming music becomes slightly more difficult, since there aren't as many strong liturgical themes to follow. The converse is also true, though, that programming becomes freer since there aren't as many constraints. The choir's anthem, Cantate domino, takes its text from Psalm 96, which is our psalm for the day. Cyndi's opening voluntary is also based on that psalm, and her daughter will be joining her on cello during communion.

Thrift Shop BIG Bag Sale
The Thrift Shop ends its season next week with its famous bag sale, and we mean BIG bag sale - $5/bag. Come on by Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday from 10-3 and help us close out another successful season.

Father Above, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the many memories of childhood laughter, gentle nurturing, and faith formation at All Saints'.  We give thanks for the generations that have gone before and for the renovations that will restore our lower classrooms and the bathrooms to be clean, safe, and inviting spaces through the Living Stones campaign.  Father, may our efforts in ministry to Your children bring honor to you and fulfill your vision for our parish, through Jesus Christ who called the children to Him and who with the Holy Spirit embraces us with your unconditional love.  Amen.

Living Stones Update

"The Living Stones committee wants to remind you all that the Capstone Phase of the Capital Campaign is well underway. We are working to contact every member of the congregation, so if you haven't heard from us yet, don't worry!  This phase will wrap up in mid-June.

For the next few weeks, you will see campaign team members in the Parish Hall during coffee hour so please come by and pick up the brochure that explains the scope of the Living Stones effort.

And remember, pledges can paid over 3-5 years. As of now, we have pledges totaling more than $390,000, toward our goal for the church of $700,000.
Thank you for your support of this important campaign!"

Living Stones Campaign Project Implementation

An implementation team has been formed to develop specific project plans for the work to be funded by the Living Stones Capital Campaign. This team is led by Matt Hickcox and includes Bob Camacho, Steve Grillo, Frank Ouellette and Tom Richert. They are now in the process of working with other members of the congregation to define the scope of each of the projects, and will be working with the Vestry to prioritize the implementation of the projects according to the advantages of each as guided by the mission of the Church.

The project implementation work is a multi-year effort. Look for updates as plans develop for each of the projects and improvements begin.

Christmas Fair
Mark Your Calendars for December 3rd!!

WHAT??... DECEMBER?...YES!...WHY?

Once again, All Saints Church will be holding its Homespun Christmas Holiday Fair.  This year it will be held on Saturday, December 3rd and we need your help NOW to prepare!

"How can we help?" you ask.  As a parishioner, you are being invited to participate by making goods to be sold at our Holiday Fair starting now and throughout the Summer.

"What is needed?" you ask.  Do you do woodworking, sew, knit/crochet, cook/bake, make homemade jams/jellies, crafts/jewelry, homemade cards....the ideas are endless!

Last year was a big success!  Many of the groups within the All Saints Family donated their time, energy and talents and we had a great variety of product to sell.  We are looking to do it once again.

If you have a talent and would like to donate goods to be sold, are interested in being on the planning committee or are willing to help in any way, please contact Melissa Thompson @ mt06082014@gmail.com or 978-221-4204 for more information.  More information will be coming at our first planning meeting mid-summer.

This is one of the major fundraisers for the Church (we took in over $3,000.00 last year) and we'd like to do it again.  With everyone's help I know it will be successful!

Happy Creating - Melissa Thompson
