Musical Notes Music Staff
Music for this week pays full homage to Pentecost. We have three traditional hymns that we sing - "Hail thee, festival day," "Come down, O love divine," and "There's a sweet, sweet spirit." The bells will play for the last time this season, also on the theme of the Holy Spirit. The closing voluntary is a well- known fugue by Dietrich Buxtehude, informally called the "Jig Fugue," for reasons which will be obvious. The Parish Choir will sing "I will not leave you comfortless" by Everett Titcomb. Titcomb was born in Amesbury, MA in 1884 and spent 50 years as the organist and music director at the church of St. John the Evangelist in Boston, in addition to teaching at New England Conservatory. He died in 1968.

Holy and Ever Loving Father we ask your blessings over our Living Stones Capital Campaign. May we be ever faithful to your will, loving and compassionate towards each other, and discerning in our endeavors. We ask that you abide with us as we prayerfully consider the potential of our contributions, the promise of the campaign, and our role as faithful stewards of this place. May God the Father encourage us, May Jesus the Great Healer remove fears and obstacles from our midst, and May the Holy Spirit unite us in purpose.  Amen.
West Virginia Work Camp Happenings
June is getting closer and there's a lot happening with the West Virginia Workcamp group to prepare for the trip.  We're mostly busy raising the money we need to help pay for our travel expenses.  If you'd like to help, you can participate in any of the events listed below.
Ongoing: Share Sales - Buy "shares" in the workcamp by giving a donation before or after service.  The share table is in the narthex and moves to the parish hall during coffee hour.  Anyone who makes a donation will get 2 postcards from workcampers during the week describing the experience.

Talent show and potluck dinner will be held this Sunday, May 15th, at All Saints'.
For those who just want to come and enjoy the talent show, this is a wonderful evening out for a great cause.  There is no admission fee, but there will be a free will offering to benefit this annual mission trip to West Virginia in June to fix up homes of needy Appalachians. Please bring a dish to share as we enjoy this annual event with our Central Congregational brothers and sisters.

Prayer Workshop
Praying with prayer beads is a very old tradition.  In the recent past, a prayer bead practice specifically in the Anglican tradition has evolved.  On Wednesday, May 25, from 7:30-8:45 pm, (Blue/Cranberry rooms) we will explore the tradition of Anglican Prayer Beads.  We will have some history, some teaching and an opportunity to pray with beads.

If you would like to experience this, or are looking to deepen this practice in your life, please join us.  We will have sets of beads (so let us know if you are coming so we can be sure to have enough).  If you already have (any type/tradition) prayer beads, you can bring them along to use as well.  If you have any questions about this workshop, please contact Lynne Grillo (lynne@odic.com or 978 846 4300).

Volunteers Are Needed
to help trim the All Saints' lawn during the growing season.  Currently, we have a rotation of five volunteers and, with a few more, the workload could be reduced to two or three turns for the season.  Equipment is provided.  Won't you consider helping out?  Please contact Norm Douglas (ndouglas3@verizon.net) or Bruce Bray (maryb68@verizon.net, bray@ll.mit.edu) if interested.
Summer Schedule:
Save the date: We switch to our schedule of summer services on June 19. Our 8am service will be in the chapel, and our 9:30 service will be in the main church. The Worship Commission, for the past few years, has discussed the time of our second summer service, with arguments being made for keeping it at 10am, and for keeping it at our now traditional summer time of 9am. The commission felt that 9:30 would provide a win/win, so will gather your feedback in the fall.

All Saints' Yard and Plant Sale
Yard & Plant Sale Sign
8AM-2PM on Saturday, May 21st.

Plants: While cleaning out your gardens now is a good time to pot up plants for the plant sale.  We need perennials, herbs, ground covers, shrubs, small trees, and anything that goes with a garden.  Potting plants early will make them stronger and look better for the sale. Hostas have been a big seller.  Carol Douglas

Yard Sale:
Take in will begin Sunday, May 14 after the services.  Items may be left in the Atrium outside of the office.  Items may also be left Tuesday, May 16 through Thursday, May 18 from 11:00AM -4:00PM and Friday, May 20 from 12:00-7:00 PM. Please no electronics or skis.

This is a major fundraiser for All Saints' so we ask that everyone consider giving their time.  Sign-up sheets will be in the Narthex starting this weekend.  The time request is broken into easily doable 2-3 hour slots.  There is a special request for help on Friday afternoon and evening, until 8:00PM to move items from the atrium to the parish hall.

We are also seeking a few individuals to sell coffee and pastries in the kitchen during the sale. If you are interested, please contact our Wardens, Chris Mills or Frank Ouellette.

Food Pantry & Sharing
From Wikipedia on the World Wide Web:
Sharing the joint use of a resource or space. Still more loosely, sharing can actually mean giving something as an outright gift: for example, to share one's food really means to give some of it as a gift.

From the Bible:
"The one who has two shirts must share with someone who has none, and the one who has food must do the same." Luke 3:11

I want to give a special thanks to Deb Forsberg, Joan Thomas, Paige Flick and all the Weaver kids and families for the Blessing Bags they lovingly decorated and stocked for the Food Pantry! Sandy (founder of the Chelmsford Community Exchange - Food Pantry) is most grateful and the children that visit with their parents enjoy being able to pick their favorite color bag and take away something very special. Great job everyone!

Thank you, also, to the members of the congregation for sharing items from your own kitchen cupboards/pantries for the weekly donations to the collection basket in the narthex!
Peace and Blessings - Melissa
