The Town of Madison Park and Playground Committee
Receives $5,000 Gift from Skowhegan Savings

SKOWHEGAN, Maine - Skowhegan Savings announced it has awarded a $5,000 gift to the Town of Madison for the development of a new park and playground.

"This playground and park will become a centerpiece of our town for years to come," explains Jack Ducharme, Branch Manager of Skowhegan Savings' Madison Branch. "Madison is a town of friendly, hard-working families, and we're proud to support the creation of a place where they can come together all year round."

Located in the center of this Somerset County town, on the shores of the Kennebec River, the park will include a grassy area perfect for farmer's markets, tag sales and concerts. Plans call for the park and playground to be completed this fall, including a skating rink for the winter.

"It will be located directly across from our branch," Ducharme continues. "So you can bet we'll be out there enjoying the festivities - some of us are already dusting off our skates!"

Skowhegan Savings' charitable giving program makes donations to both large and small local non-profit and charitable organizations, with a focus on
