Although I'm not normally the jealous type, when I heard recaps of Leadership McKinney's recent experiences at Regional Day and the Austin Trip, I considered exploring every means by which I could re-enroll in the program. The opportunities afforded the 25th anniversary class provide immediate returns and lifetime rewards, as many of us a few years (or decades) out from our LM experience can attest. 

As we continue to refine and redesign our curriculum and content, it is becoming increasingly clear that we should include not only opportunities to interact with a wide variety of leaders but also provide additional education and training on the elements of such things as campaigning for and serving in a public office. If you're ready to shape the future of the program, let us know. The curriculum committee is already crafting the 26th year's program offerings.

As we celebrate the LM legacy often this year, another highlight is surely the recognition of Judy Gay as Leadership Alumna of the Year. Judy is a graduate of the first LM class in 1989 and with her husband John continues to leave an indelible mark on our community through servant leadership, philanthropy and mentoring practices. If you missed the awards events, perhaps you'll get a chance to see Judy amongst dozens of other alumni at the Leadership Alumni Network lunch on March 14 at the Collin Higher Education Center.

As always, I hope to see you at the table any second Wednesday of the month at our LM advisory committee meeting, 7:30-9 a.m. at the Chamber. The coffee is as hot as the conversation is enlightening.
