Community Alliance for Teen Safety wishes everyone a safe and happy 4th of July next weekend. Whether you are hosting a family barbecue or traveling on a weekend getaway there are a few things to keep in mind to keep all family members safe!

REDUCE ACCESS TO ALCOHOL

Did you know that 41% of New Hampshire teens think it would be easy to access alcohol? Purchasing or providing alcohol to minors is a criminal offense - even in your own home.

Reduce access. Pass it on.

Do teens come into your home?

Secure the storage of alcoholic beverages.
Monitor quantity to know if any is missing.
Don't provide alcohol to minors. Supplying alcohol or hosting an underage party is illegal-all the time.
Do you have teens or know someone who does? Be sure to know plans and backup plans. Make it easy for teens to contact a responsible adult.
