Community Alliance for Teen Safety wishes everyone a safe and happy 4th of July next weekend.  Whether you are hosting a family barbecue or traveling on a weekend getaway there are a few things to keep in mind to keep all family members safe!
Thursday's Safety Tip #4

REDUCE ACCESS TO ALCOHOL

Did you know that 41% of New Hampshire teens think it would be easy to access alcohol?  Purchasing or providing alcohol to minors is a criminal offense - even in your own home.

Reduce access. Pass it on.

Do teens come into your home?
  • Secure the storage of alcoholic beverages.
  • Monitor quantity to know if any is missing.
  • Don't provide alcohol to minors. Supplying alcohol or hosting an underage party is illegal-all the time.
  • Do you have teens or know someone who does? Be sure to know plans and backup plans. Make it easy for teens to contact a responsible adult.
