Remember to vote--deadline is Friday, May 1st

Soon, we'll find out which organizations will receive grants from the Women's Impact Fund this year.  The Grants Committee has worked hard to ensure that the collective giving power of our members is having the greatest impact in our community.  Please VOTE - as Every Vote Counts.  If you have not received the ballot, please contact Jessica Lehmann, Operations Manager, at 704.707.4292 or jlehmann@womensimpactfund.org.

Joining an organization like the Women's Impact Fund can be an exciting experience.  It can also be a little overwhelming and confusing.  You may want to get involved, but don't know where to start or who to go to with your questions.

We want our members' first experiences with WIF to be welcoming and enlightening.  There's a lot of information we have to share and a lot we'd love to know about those joining us. WIF's New Member On-boarding Event is designed to help ease the process of getting involved in WIF while being social, engaging and fun.

Member profile:  Pamela Harris-Young

By Jennie Buckner

When Pam and her husband decided to launch their own businesses, they had this life-changing thought: Let's live in a place where we really want to be. In a quest to find such a spot, they visited seven cities. Charlotte (aren't we glad!) came out on top.

It's been five years since they left Princeton, NJ, and Pam hasn't looked back. She built a successful executive coaching and consulting practice while becoming an active member of WIF. She is the current Membership Committee Chair and is on the Board of Directors' slate to head the new Member Engagement Committee.

Meet our new program assistant

Kathleen Bambrick Meier recently joined the WIF team as the part-time Program Assistant, replacing Debra Wideman. Kathleen has  lived all over the United States and now enjoys the theater, live music and wonderful restaurants that Charlotte has to offer.  Her daughter, Brigid, heads off to college in Greensboro in the fall, so she's currently spending lots of time with her.  After having worked for many years in documentary films and most recently construction management, Kathleen is excited to be part of Women's Impact Fund and the great things that we do in the community.
