How WIF Raises and Spends Its Money

Recently, WIF members got a letter from Chris McLeod, our Development Committee chair, laying out for us how our budget looks and how our contributions fund our organization. We're re-capping here because each of us supports this organization with our dues.

As we near the end of the year, please consider a gift to our LEAP Annual Fund which supplements our operating fund.

Perhaps, your company offers a matching gift program. If so, consider designating your match for the LEAP Annual Fund.

Did you know that our current $200 member fee covers less than 50% of WIF's overall budget?

A strong platform of technology and staffing is required to effectively leverage the ongoing involvement of over 400 women members. As a membership organization, we cannot always count on outside funding sources to support the operational budget of WIF. As you know, we have made some difficult decisions to ensure that we are operating as efficiently as possible.

The chart below shows how the WIF Board allocates your dues and the other contributed revenue we secure during the year such as LEAP Annual Fund, Foundation Grants and Corporate Sponsorship dollars.
