"I'm in!  Are you?"

This is the time of year when we ask if you are interested in serving on a committee during the 2014-2015 year. Here's your opportunity to tell us what you want to do! Complete this short survey to learn about the available opportunities.
Deadline: June 2nd

When asked to share her thoughts about volunteering on a Women's Impact Fund committee, Pearlynn Houck (member since 2008) tells us, "I learned that I am in the company of fabulous, strong, and brilliant women from diverse backgrounds.  What amazing company!"

The 2014 Annual Meeting Celebration

With over 170 members and guests in the audience, Board Chair Jeanette Sims welcomed the crowd and shared the successes of the past year. Kathy Mansfield, Grants Chair, held everyone in suspense as one by one, the 2014 grants, totaling $377,500, were announced, and the winners invited to receive the excited applause of the attendees. Compelling stories from two of our past grantees, Actor's Theatre of Charlotte and McPie (McClintock Partners in Education) were shared. Special thanks to Wells Fargo for another year of generous support as our Presenting Sponsor!

Read about the 5 new grantees. In 11 years, your Women's Impact Fund has given 49 grants totaling over $3.7 million!

L to R: Jeanette Sims (Board Chair) with grant recipients Deronda Metz (The Salvation Army), Dave Cable (TreesCharlotte), Nancina Pope (Charlotte Children's Choir), Janet Singerman (Child Care Resources, Inc.), John Koppelmeyer (Barium Springs Home for Children), and Kathy Mansfield (Grants Chair)

 a HUGE Hit!
Voting for the sWIFt Gift!

Annual Meeting attendees participated, through text message,
in a version of "flash philanthropy" and awarded a grant of $5,000, live from the event, to Community Culinary School of the Arts, their choice from amongst the five ballot finalists who did not receive a grant this year. This sWIFt gift was made possible through the generosity of four of our members.
