Women's Impact Fund has parking vouchers available for parking after 5pm at the Hearst Tower any night of the week.  Interested?  Send a check to our office (220 N. Wine & Wisdom's Stephanie Sinclair 


More than 170 members and guests had the opportunity to tour a new exhibit and hear from National Geographic photographer Stephanie Sinclair on April 2nd at the Mint Museum Uptown. Stephanie is one of 11 photographers featured in the "Women of Vision" exhibit, now open until July 20th. Stephanie shared heart-rending stories,

photographs and two videos which only scratch the surface of her work in exposing issues affecting women and girls internationally. Special thanks to Wells Fargo and UNC Charlotte for making this program possible.

 

At the request of many of you, Stephanie shared information about organizations working to end child marriage.

Congratulations to Women's Impact Fund Co-Founder, Mary Lou Babb, who received the Girl Scouts Hornet's Nest Lifetime Achievement Award on April 10, 2014. 

 

Impressive Fact: of the 9 winners of this award, 7 have been Women's Impact Fund members! 
 

South Charlotte Get Together 

A big thank you to new member Florence Kim who hosted our 2nd neighborhood gathering in the Ballantyne area on April 10th. Florence was joined by Gina Lawrence and Tanu Gulati (an even newer member) in catering this event for 30 women, including many prospective members. Everyone had an opportunity to share their backgrounds and passions. They came away with a desire to belong to an organization where sharing and collaboration are encouraged.
