Make a Difference Forever!

Members and guests came together for a Lunch & Learn on February 18th to learn about how to make a difference through "legacy giving", or putting bequests to the organizations you care most about in your will.  Chris McLeod, President & Founder of Giving Matters, pulled together a great panel including Phillips Bragg CFP (Moderator), and members Karen Knoble, Arrington Mixon and Sarah Shifflet.  Panelists shared their personal stories and reflections on how they have included philanthropy in their estate plans.

Sarah Shifflet told us, "The grants process and the educational offerings of WIF have really shaped my understanding of philanthropy and work of nonprofit agencies in our community.  This in turn informed our decisions as to which organizations to support through bequests in our wills".

Read the informative handouts from the event.
