We are on summer schedule now. This means we close at 5 pm on Friday and are closed Sundays until after Labor Day. We will also close for the 4th of July holiday on July 3 and 4.

The Friends of the Library are announcing book sale plans! Read about it herein!

The Library Board would like to thank Richard Bonnette and Richard Gross for putting on a play about Mark Twain and U. S. Grant. One hundred seventy people attended the 3 performances. A special thank you to Grace Episcopal Church for providing the location and working on publicity. The play was a benefit for the library and Grace Church.

Our museum pass program is in great demand. Read all about free admittance to area museums below!

Don't forget to check out the library's subscriptions to eBooks (the 3M Cloud and  Overdrive) which also has downloadable audio books. We also have Hoopla, providing download and streaming of movies, music, TV shows, and more audio books. If you have a new or older device, stop in on July dates listed below to get started with these subscriptions or visit the links above with lots of information to get started.     New Digitized Haddonfield Collections are Available!

A collection of files comprised of nearly 4500 homes and properties in Haddonfield is now available in the library in digitized format. These files took up 12 file cabinets in the library. A generous gift from the Alles family provided the funding to digitize the files. The files contain information on the construction and history of the homes. Visit the reference desk to use the files in the library.
The library participated in a shared services project with several area libraries to obtain digitized copies of the Retrospect from 1906-2003. These digital files are also available for use in the library at the Reference desk. Due to copyright restrictions, the files are not available on the internet.

Our thanks to the Alles and Ainsworth families, Brett Bonfield, Library Director of the Collingswood Library, former Library Director Doug Rauschenberger,  and our own Eric Zino for working so capably to  bring the digitized local collections to the library.

Buy a Leaf to support the "We Love Our Library" Campaign

The HPL Library Board of Trustees has
initiated  the "We Love Our Library" campaign to provide fund raising for the library's long awaited expansion and renovation.

The campaign will raise funds for the enhancements, such as contemporary furnishings, equipment, and newer technology throughout the building. You can help by buying a leaf on the tree mural created by HMHS National Honor Society members. The tree has moved over to the annex.  Donations are being accepted from $5 to $250. Check with the library staff at the  circulation desk.
