Summer is finally here and the library is booming. Kids and teens can come daily for great books and fun summer reading activities. See Ms. Jordan's full calendar of events below. Also, teen craft events begin later in July and continue through August. Make some cool crafts and make new friends all summer long!

The Friends of the Library will be gearing up for the annual book sale on Sept. 20 and 212. Please hold your book donations until August 1 for the Friends! For folks who want to volunteer to help sort books for the sale, orientation programs fpr volunteers will be held on Aug. 2 and 4. Watch for more information from book sale co-chairmen Brian Smith and Jerry Tritt!

The library is now on summer schedule which means we are closed on Sundays through Labor Day. We also close at 5 pm on Friday instead of 6 pm.

We wish you a Happy and healthy 4th of July as we celebrate our country's freedom and all who have served to preserve our democracy.

The library has Nook and 3M eBook readers that you can borrow for up to 1 month. The Nooks have 100 pre-loaded books for borrowing. You can borrow from the 3M Cloud with the 3M reader. Take one on vacation and read up a storm. Ask about borrowing these readers at the first floor circulation desk.

Don't forget to check out the library's subscriptions to eBooks (the 3M Cloud and a vastly improved Overdrive, )which also has downloadable audio books. The library has been using the 3M Cloud for more than one year now and use is booming. Stop in if you need any help getting started with eBooks, try the Discovery terminal to see books in the Cloud or visit the links above with lots of information to get started. All with your library card!
