About Us

Jordan Bilodeau is the new Children's Librarian!

The Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Jordan Bilodeau is the new Children's Librarian. Jordan has been employed at the library for the past 14 years as a Library Assistant. During her years at the library she completed
an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a secondary degree in Child Behavioral Services from Rowan University. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Library Science (MSLS) from Clarion University in June 2013. Jordan interned at the library from January - May 2013 under the guidance of her predecessor, Dorothy Peppard, who retired as Children's Librarian on Dec. 31, 2013.

Jordan was selected after a comprehensive search was conducted for the position. Jordan plans to introduce new technology into programs in the Children's Dept.  She will be checking in with the community about  requests for programs, collections, and services. Jordan begins her duties on January 2.

Jordan says, "I never imagined a part time job that I started at age 18 would turn out to be the ideal career for me. I have always loved books and the atmosphere at the library. A fun fact about me is that my mother named me after Jordan Baker from The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald! I hope to pass on my love of reading to my daughter and the children who come to visit the library. Throughout the new year I will be adding additional programs such as drop in craft days, a tween book club and a monthly contest!" Stop in and meet Jordan @ your library!
