Greetings!

We hope you are enjoying your summer!

The Children's Dept. is hopping with Summer Reading Activities almost every day for all ages! Check out the activities below. Stop in and register for Summer Reading - kids, cool off at the library and have fun reading - all summer long! The Summer Reading final program is on August 29 at 7 pm at Borough Hall.

The library has a ton of excellent reading material for your summer vacation. For students we have multiple copies of the Haddonfield School system's summer required and recommended reading lists. Visit the Teen Nook area to find these books or the Children's Dept. for younger children. Some of these books are also available in eBooks! And for those who worry about sand in your book, paperbacks abound. Our circulating Nook eBook readers have new titles as does our 3M Cloud eBook system.  Learn about getting free eBooks with your library card with Overdrive  or the 3M Cloud.  Pick up a brochure or handout  on how to get started at the first floor Reference Desk or visit the links above.Call 429-1304, ext. 112 for more information.

The Friends are gearing up for the Sept 20-22, annual Book Sale. Consider volunteering to sort and organize for the sale. See article below. The Friends are now accepting  books for donation until September 18.

The Friends are co-sponsoring a quilting display as part of Haddonfield Tricentennial activities this year. See article below and consider displaying your quilt!

Dig Into Reading Decorations Adorn the Children's Dept.

The library is fortunate to have a staff member, Joan Morrison, who creates the lively decorations for Summer Reading each summer. Joan Morrison does the art displays in the Children's section to illustrate the various themes of the month. The Summer Reading Program  is a big focus for the Children's department.  Joan says, "I  enjoy creating the displays that will catch the eyes of our young patrons and help make the program an exciting time of the year." Joan is pictured with  her decorations, which will be on display through early Sept.
