Chip Bag Collection (Mon-Fri in the Cafeteria)
In an effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle, our lunchroom has a new bin for up-cycling lunchbox chip baggies. The chip bag collection will reduce waste while earning money for our school through Terracycle. We also welcome PES families to drop off their Single Serve, King or Family size SALTY snack bags. May 14th is Fathers in Education Day and we are encouraging the participation of our wonderful WatchDOGS! Fathers, brothers, grandfathers, uncles and male mentors are welcome! That is also the day of our Volunteer Breakfast so both Dads and Moms can enjoy a nice breakfast and then WatchDOGS can spend the day volunteering at the school. Call for Volunteers: May 18th-22nd!
Our teachers and staff do so much for our children all year long. Every day, they teach and help our children grow and learn. Teacher appreciation week is our chance to thank them and it's just around the corner.

| Legacy Tree and Branch of Wisdom | There is still time to submit form if haven't already! Forms are attached (tree/ branch). Don't miss your opportunity to participate in the Legacy Tree, a PES tradition, or to have your Fifth grader join the Branch of Wisdom, a new PES tradition. Legacy Tree proceeds will go to improving the courtyards at the school, while Branch of Wisdom proceeds benefit the Fifth Grade Fund. Order forms for either project can be left in the PTA mailbox in the office, or given to your child's teacher in an envelope marked "Attn PTA".
