Chip Bag Collection (Mon-Fri in the Cafeteria)
In an effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle, our lunchroom has a new bin for up-cycling lunchbox chip baggies. The chip bag collection will reduce waste while earning money for our school through Terracycle. We also welcome PES families to drop off their Single Serve, King or Family size SALTY snack bags. See the following flyer: Chip Bag Brigade Accepted Waste. The more bags we collect, like Box Tops, the more $ is raised for our school.

Join us for some wonderful physical activity before the bell rings Monday-Friday. Coach Tanner has challenged our students and faculty to embark on a 1,600 mile trek around the state of Florida this school year. Grab a friend and your sneakers! See you there!

| PTA Meeting, Seminar and Science Fair |  Tonight!
We hope you've marked your calendars for tonight's General PTA meeting! The meeting will begin at 6PM, followed by a seminar at 6:30. The seminar, led by PES parent and Senior Director of Technology at Symantec, the maker of Norton Antivirus, Nicolas Severino, will focus on safely navigating social media, and is designed to give parents and students a place to start the conversation as children move toward interest and participation in social media. The talk will be followed by a Q&A. After the talk, take time to visit the Media Center to check out the amazing Science Fair projects our students have been working on! This is a night at PES you don't want to miss. Pizza, drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase. |

Thanksgiving Celebrations

 Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving celebrations will b held the classrooms on Wednesday, November 26, beginning at 12PM. School will be closed on Thursday, November27, and Friday, November 28, in observance of the holiday. We wish our entire PES family safe and happy Thanksgiving!

PTA offers its biggest thanks to all the attendees, sponsors, volunteers, teachers, staff, committee chairs, and everyone else who made Sailing the Palmetto Seas one of the best Fun Fest Palmetto Elementary has ever seen. This event isn't just a fundraiser, it's also a special opportunity for our community to come together, and without the support of everyone involved, it doesn't happen. The names are too many to list here, but please know that every bit of help and support was deeply appreciated.
