Chip Bag Collection (Mon-Fri in the Cafeteria)
In an effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle, our lunchroom has a new bin for up-cycling lunchbox chip baggies. The chip bag collection will reduce waste while earning money for our school through Terracycle. We also welcome PES families to drop off their Single Serve, King or Family size SALTY snack bags. Turkey Grams are Coming!

 Watch those backpacks
Turkey Gram order forms will be coming home soon. This year, children can send rope bracelets to their friends, classmates, teachers, and others, for $1 per gram or $20 for the class. Teachers! For just $10 YOU can order Turkey Grams for your whole class! Order deadline is Wednesday, November 19. All sales support the 5th Grade Fund. Questions? Principal For the Day

 Welcome, "Principal" Toffoli!
PES is pleased to welcome author Andrew Toffoli to school as our Principal for the Day. Mr. Toffoli will be on campus this Thursday, October 30, and will also present his books to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes. Forms will be sent home if students would like to order personalized copies of Mr. Toffoli's books. An order form may also be downloaded from this link.

Did you miss the Performing Arts Department Picture Day last Friday, October 24, 2014? You can make it up on Tuesday, November 4 (teacher work day). Individual pictures will be taken in the Cafeteria for the photograph composite which hangs in the main office. Pictures are taken on a first come first served basis by group as scheduled: Chorus: 8:00am - 11:00am Beginning Band/Concert Band/Jazz Combo: 1:00pm - 3:00pm

The World Needs to Know Your Inner Artist!

 Show the World Your Inner Artist!
Write a poem or story or create a piece of visual art and tell us your interpretation of the theme: "The world would be a better place if..." Pick up a PTA Reflections Entry Form today from the media center and return entry form and submission to media center by November 13, 2014. PTA is pleased to announce the following prizes will be awarded in each category and at each level: First place: $100 Scholastic Bucks; Second place: $50 Scholastic Bucks; Third place: $25 Scholastic Bucks. In addition, the teacher of the student who wins in each category at each level will receive a $20 Scholastic Bucks certificate, as thanks for supporting student entries.
