PTA Needs You!

This year more than ever, we need the Palmetto Elementary Community to support our PTA. The PTA is an organization dedicated to improving our children's scholastic lives through its fundraising efforts during the school year. The easiest way to contribute is by purchasing one of our membership packages - click here for details and forms needed to join. Anyone can join - including grandparents, and your contribution funds programs and activities that directly impact our children's academic experience at Palmetto Elementary.

Membership is not tied to any volunteer commitments, but rather is a way to show your support for the programs and events that the PTA provides. Don't miss out on this very significant opportunity...

Support Enriched and Enhanced Academics at Palmetto . . .

Dear Families:

Welcome Back! And to our new students, welcome to our Palmetto family!

PES ACT (Assistance for Classroom Teachers) is a parent-funded nonprofit organization that funds positions that enrich and enhance academics at Palmetto.

This year, ACT will fund:

  • a science lab teacher who will bring hands-on lab experiments to the classroom, as enrichment to the current science curriculum;
  • a paraprofessional to run the computer lab; and
  • two certified teachers who will assist classroom teachers in math and reading.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 in parent donations. While any amount is welcome, a $250 donation per child is recommended. PES ACT, Inc, is a 501(c)(3) organization and your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a donation letter from ACT acknowledging your contribution.

Help us keep Palmetto the A school that it is and make your donation today. Please make your check payable to PES ACT, Inc. You can drop off your donation with your child's teacher or at the front office.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call Shannon del Prado at (305) 670-8060.

TAKE ACT-ION!

Thank you,

Your 2013-2014 Palmetto Elementary ACT Committee
