The purpose of eating is to nourish our body. Eating too much starts with taste. People like the taste of cookies, chips and ice cream. They like the feeling they get. The comfort. Nobody eats too much broccoli. So eating these foods and overeating good foods can also provide relief and comfort from emotional issues. Over our lifetime we have learned to deal with a number of emotional issues by eating. We have developed habits. When a certain emotional issue comes up we eat to diffuse it. When our boss says we are behind we might get stressed out and eat a candy bar. When we get fired we might put on weight for awhile. And we go on and develop more habits for more issues. TOP REASONS
