Vital Aging 2015: Boosting Your Brainpower Conference

Hosted by the County of San Diego's Aging & Independence Services, Vital Aging 2015 will explore how nutrition, exercise, mental stimulation, and social connection affect memory, mood, and cognitive functioning. 

You'll hear about the latest research on what works - and what doesn't - to keep your brain at its best. Information and resources for families affected by Alzheimer's disease will also be available. 

The day includes a keynote program including a nationally
acclaimed speaker Dr. Paul Nussbaum, a neuropsychologist from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and founder of the Brain Health Center. The keynote presentation by Dr. Nussbaum will be at the Liberty Station venue and will be webcast live to the Escondido Center for the Arts.

San Diego location
McMillin Center, Liberty Station
The program includes the live in-person keynote presentation, as well workshops on Alzheimer's disease, lifelong learning, food and mood and exercise. The event will be held at Liberty Station and the keynote speech will be held inside the McMillan Center. Other event activities will be held outside at Luce Court and Legacy Plaza. Lunch will be provided.

*As of June 8, the Liberty Station event is at capacity for the keynote presentation by Dr. Nussbaum. Registration is still open and attendees can participate in the morning workshops and lunch. For the keynote presentation, attendees registering after June 8 may be directed to an overflow tent where live audio of Dr. Nussbaum's presentation will be available.

Escondido location
California Center for the Arts
The program includes a live webcast of keynote speaker Dr. Paul Nussbaum shown on a large screen inside the community center. In addition, the event will have seminars with in-person speakers, information tables, and workshops. Lunch will be provided.
