Volunteer Spotlight

 Meet Lori Ritman

After graduating from UCLA in 1967, Lori Ritman was a social worker in East L.A., got a master's degree, and helped start a women's center in Colorado. She also worked as an instructor at a Community College in Arizona.

Del Mar Community Connections is extremely fortunate that Lori and her husband, Bill, decided to move to Del Mar 13 years ago, as Lori has been a DMCC volunteer for the past 11 of those years. If you have attended DMCC gala events or one of our afternoon teas, then you are familiar with Lori's delightfully enchanting piano playing. But, that is not all. Lori has also served on the DMCC Board of Directors for 4 years, and for many years, has served as co-chair of DMCC's monthly luncheons at favorite Del Mar restaurants. In addition, Lori continues to enjoy being a part of the committee that plans DMCC social events, and is presently co-chair of the DMCC's upcoming April Downton Abbey Tea. Lori plays piano not only for DMCC events, but also plays several times a week at Emeritus of Carmel Valley. In her spare time, she is a board member of her Home Owners Association.

Lori loves volunteering with DMCC. "Del Mar seniors have a positive energy that is contagious. I always feel good being around them."

Thank you so very much, Lori, for your positive energy and dedication as a DMCC volunteer! Your service has been invaluable!
