POTENTIAL SCAM ALERT!
Arrest Warrant Threat Scam

Scams must be in the air this year!

Another astute Del Mar senior reported receiving a call advising him that there was a warrant out for his arrest and they needed to verify his personal information.  He refused to provide it, so they offered to dismiss the warrant if he would send $1000, or whatever amount he could afford.  He hung up on them and reported it to the Sheriff's Department.

The Sheriff's Department advised to tell the caller to send you a copy of the warrant.  If they need your address to mail it, just hang up.
