Fellowship House

FELLOWSHIP HOUSE AWARDED $1,254,395 FOR FLORIDA ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT PROGRAM

MIAMI, FL- Fellowship House, a psychosocial rehabilitation facility for adults debilitated by mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, received $1,254,395 in State funding to operate a Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Program. The Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Program uses a multidisciplinary team approach to provide intensive, community-based treatment, rehabilitation, and support services for persons with severe and persistent psychiatric disabilities. Persons targeted for participation are hard-to-reach and not adequately served in the traditional service system. They are at high risk of repeated psychiatric hospital admissions, prolonged hospitalization, or repeated crisis stabilization unit use.

According to Fellowship House President/CEO, Publio M. Santana, "For more than 38 years, we have been helping clients to solidify their role in their recovery, achieve independence and improve their overall quality of life."  Mr. Santana added, "The FACT Program helps our ability to provide comprehensive programs focused on the redevelopment and restoration of social, vocational, and personal skills."   Cick here to read more...

We need your recipes!

The Wellness Committee is creating a cookbook to promote healthy lifestyles even among the busy lives of Chamber South members.

Please be a part of this endeavor. We are looking for recipes that are easy, fun and healthy. The categories are breakfast, bento box lunch, dinner, greens, seasonal and local, snacks, sweets, and holiday. Your names/companies will accompany your recipe with any anecdote you wish to share. This is a fun project that everyone can particpate in.

A recipe for a great cookbook
  • Find a great community of people and ask them to participate.
  • Have them submit recipes to info@chambersouth.com during September. Make sure to include "Recipes" in the subject line.
  • Season the recipes with funny stories or family history.
  • Simmer it all together and voila! A great cookbook.
