(Oct. 2, 2015) - With the Route-1 POI database installed, a driver's GPS system will issue an audible warning for a low clearance on the route ahead. The height is shown on the screen, allowing the driver to continue or take an alternative route that avoids the height restriction.

Airxcel launches Mach-10 air conditioner
(Sept. 21, 2015) - Weighing in at only 80 pounds, the Mach-10 boasts 13,500 Btu of cooling capacity, 5,600 Btu of heating capacity, and can utilize either a ducted system or a free delivery ceiling assembly. The newly designed AC and heat pump features a lower profile shroud ideal for taller motorhomes and fifth wheels, the release noted.

(Oct. 1, 2015) - The first guests this week are Frank Hugelmeyer, the incoming president of the RV Industry Association, and James Ashurst, the vice president of advertising and public relations for RVIA. Hugelmeyer has been on a listening tour by traveling around the country talking to manufacturers and suppliers. The former president of the Outdoor Industry Association, he describes the similarities between both organizations and how his experience will help him in the RV industry. Ashurst talks about the success of the Go RVing campaign and it's new approach to experiential marketing. The next guest is Jay Taylor, the general manager of Torklift International. The company has a growing international footprint in the RV and caravan markets. He offers some history about the company, but also describes some of Torklift's best selling products, and how dealers and manufacturers can benefit by selling and using them.

Mountain Pie Championship held at Gratz Fair

(Oct. 2, 2015) - The first ever statewide Mountain Pie Championship was held on Sept. 26, during the Gratz Fair in Gratz, Pa., just north of Harrisburg, Pa. The championship was open to winners at privately owned Pennsylvania campgrounds that held contests across the state this summer.
1905 building collapses at Clifton trailer park
(Oct. 2, 2015) - One of two adjoining buildings that were built in the early 1900s collapsed at least in part as a result of a heavy rainstorm that hit Clifton, Ariz., early last week. The collapsed building is one of two on the Clifton House RV Park property on U.S. 191, adjacent to the Rode Inn Motel.
