As part of its three-year Trade and Investment Program, The Chamber partnered with Greater Victoria's private and public education institutions as well as Tourism Victoria to develop Education Victoria - a region-wide marketing campaign.
"The campaign positions Greater Victoria internationally as a destination for world-class education within a safe and vibrant setting," said Chamber CEO Catherine Holt. "This collaborative approach uses a common brand and message to attract international students, faculty and researchers as well as global partnerships."
Although the program's various successes are expected to continue well into the future, The Chamber's Trade and Investment Program ends March 31, 2017.

"Victoria is booming and businesses need help managing the impacts of that boom," said Chamber CEO Catherine Holt. "We asked for funding to help with affordable housing, attracting workers, regional transportation and improving local governance.
The Committee makes recommendations to the Minister of Finance for Budget 2017 and to ministry service plans.
CFAX Wins International Award
CFAX 1070 was received the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award from the US arm of the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) on Monday during a ceremony in New York City.
Victoria @ Noon - CFAX 1070's regularly scheduled and longest weekday newscast - won the award for best radio newscast in a small market.
"I'm very proud of this achievement. It's the biggest award we've won in my memory, maybe ever," said CFAX 1070 News Director Ryan Price. "Having C-FAX radio from Canada win this American 'best newscast' award is a wonderful reminder to our staff and our listeners that what we do here is world-class radio."
