About the Affordable Housing
Master Plan

The Affordable Housing Master Plan is the culmination of a three-year community effort to examine Arlington's existing policies and programs, and determine future affordable housing needs and gaps.

The study identified a shortage of 7,500 affordable homes for current low-income Arlington residents and projected an increasing gap over the next twenty five years. The new Plan will be a part of the County's Comprehensive Plan. It identifies strategies and targets for providing more affordable homes throughout the County. Click here to learn more.
