Comics, Creativity and Culture explored at UI

This fall, leading comic artist-authors and scholars will meet at the UI for the three-day symposium "Comics, Creativity, and Culture: International and Interdisciplinary Perspectives." Several related events are happening throughout the fall, including a UI Museum of Art exhibit, a comics display at the public library, a WorldCanvass show and many presentations, workshops  and activities.   Learn more about these events.  

Getting involved while abroad (video) 

    

Lauren in England video  While studying abroad in Lancaster, England, Lauren Katalinich kept busy by joining the netball and water polo teams and touring all over Europe during breaks from school. In this new video, Lauren explains why her last-minute decision to study abroad for a year rather than a semester was one of the best decisions of her life. Watch now.  

International Classroom Journey seeks volunteers

If so, the International Classroom Journey (ICJ) is the program for you! This program matches elementary and secondary classes with volunteer cultural ambassadors.

Economy, culture benefit from int'l students

More than 10 percent of this year's UI freshmen class is made up of international students, making it one of the most diverse classes ever.
