Exploring world cultures through Global Village
The International Crossroads Community and the Hispanic Language and Cultures community have combined to form the Global Village, a multicultural Living-Learning Community on the UI campus. The Global Village recently held an open house to showcase the residents' unique cultural backgrounds. AnDa Union presents two free events
Mongolian folk music group AnDa Union will be featured at an upcoming WorldCanvass Studio program at noon Friday, Oct. 28, in 2780 UCC. The group will also present a throat singing workshop the day before at 3 p.m. in 1117 UCC. Both of these events are free and open to the public. Zimbabwean opposition leader featured Oct. 3
Roy Bennett was the featured guest on a WorldCanvass Studio program Oct. 3. Bennett spoke about his experiences being tortured, abused and exiled as a member of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), Zimbabwe's opposition party. At this event, Bennett accepted the Rex D.
