The Engineers Take to the Stage
Hart House Theatre hosts an annual, historied event
Skule Nite IT6 Skule Nite (pronounced "school night" - we use the metric spelling) is the annual musical-comedy revue produced by the Engineering Society at the University of Toronto. It is directed, written, produced, created and performed 100% by students and students alike. The event started in 1921 and was originally held at Massey Hall. Entire terms were spent building the elaborate sets for the show. In 1923, the show switched venues to Hart House Theatre, making this year's show the 95th Skule Nite at Hart House Theatre and the longest running annual show on our stage.

What She Said

Where: Hart House Theatre
Tickets: $15 adult / $12 Senior / $10 student

When you live in a city like Toronto, it's easy to plug in your headphones, put on some music, and ignore the world and the people around you. But what if, instead of using headphones to drown out the world, we could use them to listen to the untold stories of the people around us?

Based on a series of interviews collected from women in the University of Toronto community over the course of ten months, What She Said uses a combination of verbatim stories played live over headphones and movement to tune into the voices that usually get lost in the noise of modern life.

Celebrating the Diversity of Dance
The 21st Annual U of T Festival of Dance
FoD 2016 On the first two days in April, Hart House Theatre is pleased to present the 21st Annual University of Toronto Festival of Dance. Created as an avenue to provide dance groups on campus the opportunity to perform on stage for an audience, the Festival of Dance has now grown into a celebration of the diversity and prosperity of the U of T dance community. Past events have included over 60 different dance pieces, well over 200 performers and an impressive variety of dance forms including jazz, ballet, ballroom, modern, contact improv, hip-hop, musical theatre, Irish, Latin, and Egyptian belly dancing, just to name a few. With such an abundance of dance groups associated with U of T, participation in the festival is a great opportunity for dance groups to interact, collaborate and promote their own work and ventures.

When: Apr. 1 & 2, 7:30 pm
Where: Hart House Theatre
