Into the Woods is closing on a high note
Sondheim's musical is proving to be a hit with our audiences! We've enjoyed a few sell out houses and anticipate even more for this, our closing week. Farcical Folk
Meet the cast who will have us in stitches next month
Hart House Theatre is a showcase for Toronto's emergent talent; performers who have completed their training and are entering into the profession. The cast of our season closer, Boeing Boeing, boasts a group of hilarious young performers who are sure to do the farce proud.
 

This is Brandon's first production with Hart House Theatre. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Sheridan College's joint Theatre and Drama Studies Program. Brandon is a co-founder of Theatre By Committee, a Toronto based theatre company that aims to create a theatrical laboratory for emerging artists. He most recently seen in that company's production of Lion in the Streets.

Eliza Martin Eliza Martin, Gloria

Eliza was last seen on our stage as the charming Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest. Eliza is a Toronto based actor and like her co-star Brandon, a graduate of the Theatre and Drama Studies program at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. Eliza is an alumna of the 2013 Hangar Theatre Lab Academy in Ithaca, New York and a member of Antique Fables Theatre Collective's "The Globe".  Eliza is proud to be an Artistic Associate and Co-founder of Re:Current Theatre.

Jill McMillan Jill McMillan, Berthe

Jill makes her debut at Hart House Theatre after appearing several Scarborough Music Theatre productions: 9 to 5: The Musical, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Spamalot, South Pacific,Guys and Dolls and The Full Monty. Jill is based in Toronto and in addition to performing, she is a partner in a digital marketing and communications agency.

Andrei Preda Andrei Preda, Robert Lambert

Andrei is no stranger to our stage, having performed as Fortinbras and the Gravedigger in Hamlet, Ferdinand in The Tempest and Dr. Chasuble in  The Importance of Being Earnest. Andrei is a Toronto based actor with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting degree from the University of Windsor. He has trained with the SITI company as well as with the MICHA Association.

Katie Corbridge Katie Corbridge, Gabriella

A fellow University of Windsor graduate is Hart House Theatre newcomer, Katie Corbridge. She has studied in Boston with the Michael Chekhov Association, the SITI company, and stage combat at Toronto's Rapier's Wit. In addition to performing, Katie has produced shows with award winning playwrights in Toronto indie theatre companies Rarely Pure Theatre and Docket Theatre.

Shalyn McFaul Shalyn McFaul, Gretchen

Completing the sic person cast is self-procliamed North American nomad, Shalyn. Shalyn has zig-zagged across the continent through Southern California, NYC, Vancouver and now Toronto; completing training and performing in local productions along the way.

U of T Spotlight is pleased to invite you to our third Cabaret Night of the 2015/2016 theatre season! All are welcome to this celebration of diverse student talent. Attendance is free, and open to members of the public, and guests of all ages. Performers must be registered U of T students, but attendance is free to members of the public and guests of all ages.
