Hamlet must close this weekend |
Audiences are loving Paolo Santalucia's modern take on this celebrated classic. On stage until November 21, there are only five performances left.
"A director with a vision is the best thing that can happen to a play. ...Director Paolo Santalucia brings to life a dreary Denmark indeed." - UTM Medium
"Hamlet (Dan Mousseau) was excellent. My difficulty with Shakespeare is often understanding the dialogue but his delivery was very clear, natural and unforced." - Audience Member
"From his arrival onstage, Mousseau is in command: of his text, of his story, of the evening. At times I felt as though I was watching a oneman show of soliloquies, interrupted by the occasional bit of business, because his readings were so extraordinary, so original, so confident, so effortless." - Barczablog
"A very strong and intriguing production." - Audience Member
"Hamlet is Shakespeare's longest play, and to the credit of the director and the cast, the production rarely let us feel its length... It's worth a trip to the U of Toronto campus to see Santalucia's intriguing production." - Scene Changes
"Dan Mousseau's "To be or not to be" is mesmerizing" - My Entertainment World
"To see or not to see? If Hamlet and/or Shakespeare are your thing, I'd say go for it!" - Mooney on Theatre
